Trump: Hiding Sick Behavior Behind Due Process

Here is another of Donald Trump's tweets:

Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

Apparently a reference to the staffers that resigned over domestic abuse allegations.

It is almost comical to see this President's concerns about due process. It would seem that due process ONLY applies to men. All a man has to do is deny the accusations and that should be enough.

His pattern has always been to put women in their secondary place. Domestic abuse is in the eye of the beholder. Sexual harassment is "locker room talk".

These particular women have pictures. Police reports. Restraining orders. And specific instances that they corroborated with friends and neighbors.

And yet, Trump is concerned about how the "guys" are treated here.

It is obvious that Trump has a need for that male sympathy, because he understands that male behavior pattern all too well. And that is because when he hears these cases, he knows it is like looking in a mirror. His own treatment of women is right there in all the abuse stories. In all the sexual harassment stories.

Women do not really count in Trump world. Of course, he "loves women". Nobody "loves women more than him". But that love only manifests itself when women keep their place. Stay in line. Don't threaten the men around them.

It is a sick pattern of behavior and hiding it behind "due process" is even sicker.
